J’s new addiction: Lobster dip

anomaly v8c copyAnomaly is set in rural NS where lobster is not only plentiful, it’s the backbone of our economy. J is a pleasure lover and an addictive personality. If you’ve met J, he can grow on ya. I imagine he spends his evenings now reading spiritual literature and heaping lobster dip onto ruffled potato chips (crisps in the UK). He’s thinking about becoming a counselor and wonders if lobster dip would be just the thing to unhinge the doors of his client’s hell.

Feel free to sample Anomaly to get to know J better. He’s waiting on ya.

J’s lobster dip Recipe

  • 2 cups lobster meat cooked (you can add more or less as you desire)
  • From our trip to Maine in 2008 - a delicious, ...1 package cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 ½ tablespoons mayo
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • ½ teaspoon worcheshire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)

Put all ingredients except lobster in a blender or food processor and zip till smooth. Add lobster and pulse till smooth but with small chunks.

Serve with chips, carrots, celery, taco chips….just about anything. Some of us even just stick our fingers in and scoop it on out into our mouths. It’s incredibly addicting.

Thea Atkinson is a writer of character driven fiction.

  1. Viv says:

It sounds luscious but despite being non-veggie, I am not convinced I could ever bring myself to eat a creature that they actually know so little about…they’re suspected of being able to live more than 50years. It’s almost superstitious of me.
    However, I will eat crab….

  2. Sibel Hodge says:

I love lobster. This sounds scrummy! 🙂

  3. Sounds delicious, and I’m afraid I’d be one of those sticking my fingers in and scooping out a big bite.

I'd love to have your feedback
